Client Advocate Counselor:

As a Client Advocate Counselor at the BVPC, you are called to:

  • Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Pro-Life Commitment
  • Speak the Truth in Love
  • Minister to the client, not manipulate the client
  • Know that the client is scared, overwhelmed, but also has strengths
  • Be humble, give unconditional love, be genuine, and show empathy
  • Demonstrate healthy communication skills
  • Hold all information given in strict confidence
  • Walk a client through the crisis cycle
  • Continue to love and support the client, praying continually for God's will to be done in His way
Each Client Advocate Counselor is given 8 week (one night a week) of training on methods of counseling. Throughout the training, we pray God reveals Himself to you and teaches you in a very special way. You may gain new insight, a relationship will be transformed, or healing may take place in your own life. Whatever His plans are, God may be calling you to this ministry for a reason.
